SPRING HIKE A SUCCESS!

F-Troop at T-Lake Falls
Elite Rangers at T-lake Falls

Six bold Rangers,(actually four, with two RIT) sans the Polecat, and “others”….made it to the target -T-Lake Falls- via a unconventional route. A twelve mile round trip jaunt, with some through familiar trailess hunting territory resulted in a magnificent day in the woods, not to mention a two hour “rest” at the falls! Many badges were earned, and we even brought Polecat back a treasure from the hike to be cherished forever!

You can view the pictures on Flickr.com here: T-Lake Falls 2013

P.S. – No “Spike-isms” will be tolerated in the comment sections! You know who you are! Violators will be placed on probation permanently and will forever have to hunt the bowels of Gitchy-GooMey!

2013 SPRING HIKE IS A “GO”!

Now we need to figure out where just where is…we “go” to?!

See Polecat’s reply, all looks good!

Toucher says his knee was “hurt” playing with his endless pile of firewood. Sort of like Stosh’s roof it appears. Will he show up and keep the Denmama company? We’ll see!

From your Denmama: (unedited version):

“Attention all Rangers
Its a go for this week end May 4. We walked in yesterday (4/28/13) Could have drove. Stil mushy at the camp. The weather looks GOOD. No snow on the north side of Irondatwat.
Call me ASAP if you can make it.
I have my doubts about the Toucher. He’s got the love bug bad. Last year it was a deck, but he still managed to slither down to Albany for a pipe cleaning. I wonder how many week ends he’ll miss this huntin season.I’ll call him anyway.
Bring your own beer. I forgot to see how much Gin is left.
Den Ma Ma”

spring hike

as of 1 week ago (4-3-13) me jr. and hobbit rode to Haskels and back (60 miles for the nonsnowmobilers). There is alot of snow still. It will be some time before we go to the falls if that is the target we aim to hit. The trip, wherever we go, can still happen even if Polecat does not get the clear to just go to camp. Lets start yappin about this…

Leaddog Conquers Kettle MT

Solo (once again) hike to a small mountain, with great views. This is at the Hudson Gorge, photos are of Snowy and Blue mountains, and OK Slip Falls, another sort of like T-Lake Falls.

I DID ask certain members of the FAMHC…in good standing, to join me. Upon decline to join me on said adventure, rule 357(m) says it was a sanctioned event, sort of!

It would make a great summer hike, and even Toucher could probably do it. We’ll discuss this at the Spring Hike…which very well be on snowshoes!

POLECAT GETS HYBRID BIONIC HIP!

Here’s a recent X-ray of the good doctors’ handiwork! Well done! As we can see, the install appears to have gone quite well.

Parts were assembled from various sources, and are listed for your viewing pleasure!

Rumor has it that the Polecat was most likely discharged from the hospital today, the staff couldn’t take it anymore!

And just when we thought we could finally keep up with him in the woods……..
