Boy is it a little musty in here. Maybe someday I will finish this thing I started 6+ years ago. But not today. I will be updating to WP 2.1 soon, and then I will bring back the gallery. Finally! I have been getting ready for a computer upgrade here, so I have been backing up all those random photos and video clips that I have collected over the last several years. In a couple weeks I will have the 24″ iMac, new airport eXtreme Base station, and 500gb network drive. It’s time to get busy. Once I get my new digs, I’ll be able to whip up a DVD with all the F-Troop media that I have. Then I’ll rush one out to you Leaddog, along with your radio! 🙂

With above normal temperatures, clear skies and lots of sun, hunting was tough this past weekend. Nine men hunted Saturday and Sunday, saw lots of Does and Turkeys, but no Bucks!
After shooting his buck on the Fifth Weekend Robba has now found his new passion, shooting pictures! Once I get the Gallery up and running I will have to add a album just for Robba because he is hooked!
Since this was Turkey weekend some guys got up to camp early. But only one member of the esteemed FAMHHC entered the woods. Leaddog was the lone hunter, while two other card carrying members arrived in camp around noon, and hunted the driveway, from the table, in close proximity of the beer. By the time the rest of us arrived, it was clear they had been “hunting” very hard! Leaddog comments:

Every one (except for me) of the members of the esteemed club FAMHHC is now on super secret double probation….and if you possess a “cross the creek badge”, it may be revoked at ANY time….. 🙂

You guys know who you are, and have been cited!
While Leaddog was in the woods on Friday he picked up radio transmissions from some “Less experenced” hunters from the other side of the lake who were trying to locate one of their buddies. He reports via email:

you guys ain’t gonna believe this…..that citiot we all heard was on
the opposite side of “the lake”, on the rd that crosses rt X from the
Wxxxx Sxxxx rd…..the section of land is diamond shaped and is about
1.1 miles long and is almost a whopping ½ mile wide…..and is loaded
with tax parcels. it is completely landlocked by county roads….Rt X
and Co Rt XX….

I can’t believe it is Turkey Day already! That means there are only TWO weekends left in the 2006 Hunting Season. Eat up boys, you will need your strength for this weekend! We are going to get the BIG ONE! I will be up sometime on Friday. Hopefully early enough to hang out with the esteemed Friday Adirondack Men’s Hunting /Hiking Club!

Leaddog starts the weekend off on Friday by shooting a 5′ 9″, 175lb(est) Black bear way the hell back in the woods! Trailhugger agrees to buy F-Troop two barrels of the finest brew in exchange for the Bear.

On Saturday Robba takes a nice 9 point 118 pound buck. Way to go Robba.

Well boys it is that time of year again. Get yer gear and get up to camp. Den MaMa reports 15 guys are on the books for this weekend. I still haven’t got the Photo Gallery back up yet but it is coming. The www.gotbuck.com site is back in my control and I want a fresh picture of a 2006 buck to put on the site.
