Polecat Lobbies for FAMHC name change!

The FAMHC(“Friday Afternoon Men’s Hiking Club”) is set to meet on Friday for the second time this year and Polecat is already pushing for a name change. Leaddog and Probie will be present in the morning with Digger joining them shortly there after. Polecat has informed me he will not be attending and has demanded of the three members, in good standing, that they be outta the woods early! He has made it clear that we are to cease hunting early so we can put on a drive to the local watering hole to rescue the barrel of swill! I fear the future of the FAMHC is heading for dark times spent buzzing around a bar instead of out exploring untouched lands! I will not endorse the name change from FAMHC to FAMDC! (“Friday Afternoon Men’s Drinking Club”)

Derrie and Canon face off with a Bear!

While picking blackberries last weekend Derrie and Canon ran into a black bear on the side of the driveway. So Polecat decides to put out the critter cam to get a few photo’s of the bear, he ends up getting some great shots of not just the bear! These photo’s should get you guys excited about the upcoming hunting season!

This is Derrie’s bear, he is off limits!
Derrie’s Bear is a regular visitor up at camp.
Fawn’s like blackberries too!
This little one better pack on some pounds, winter is coming!
All kinds of critters are after Derrie’s blackberries!
Woohoo! There are bucks in them der woods! Looks like this guy will be a small 4 pointer. Keep eating buddy!
Polecat said this guy is off limits this coming fall! 🙂

Photo’s, stats, and other stuff.

I have finally uploaded some photo’s from the 2011 season to Flickr for your viewing pleasure. I know leaving our site to view them is not the best method but it’s what we got for now. I’m lazy. Spring Hike 2011 A Success!

Well another hike is in the record books. The weather was great, the beer was cold, and our feet were sore. Seven rangers braved the expedition this year and earned badges I didn’t even know existed. We feasted on “tube steaks” at the ancient fire ring! Explored the cave and crawled all over Stay Away in search of new ways to attack it in the fall. Then we enjoyed beers in the sun while gazing upon Buck Mountain in the distance. We covered all that and still made it out before having to get the headlamps out!
