Here’s a recent X-ray of the good doctors’ handiwork! Well done! As we can see, the install appears to have gone quite well.
Parts were assembled from various sources, and are listed for your viewing pleasure!
Rumor has it that the Polecat was most likely discharged from the hospital today, the staff couldn’t take it anymore!
And just when we thought we could finally keep up with him in the woods……..
What! No parts from the old camp or Gitchy goomies?
Sorry, Spike…
All that stuff is in the silverware drawers….already spoken for.
But don’t worry, I’m sure we’ll have hip-soup from the left over “old hip parts” in the box under under Bernie’s bunk!
The hospital would’nt give me the old hip. I wanted to mount it on a board in deer camp so we could talk about it.
You should have seen the look on the surgeon and the Anetheologists faces when I told them to sneak the parts out of the O/R.
Anyway, Its 4 weeks today and doing great. Supposed to use a cane when outside but I keep miss placing it. I tried to rake the lawn but got in trouble for it from my nurse wife. To much twisting, not good for the bone trying to fuse to the muscle.
Next time we butcher a Bamby, I’ll give a blow by blow demonstration on how to remove the hip bone. Instead of just mutilating it, like you guys do now.
