Work Weekend 2013 – A first? “No Cheap Firewood!”

Six bold Rangers,(actually four, with two RIT) sans the Polecat, and “others”….made it to the target -T-Lake Falls- via a unconventional route. A twelve mile round trip jaunt, with some through familiar trailess hunting territory resulted in a magnificent day in the woods, not to mention a two hour “rest” at the falls! Many badges were earned, and we even brought Polecat back a treasure from the hike to be cherished forever!

P.S. – No “Spike-isms” will be tolerated in the comment sections! You know who you are! Violators will be placed on probation permanently and will forever have to hunt the bowels of Gitchy-GooMey!

Now we need to figure out where just where is…we “go” to?!

Toucher says his knee was “hurt” playing with his endless pile of firewood. Sort of like Stosh’s roof it appears. Will he show up and keep the Denmama company? We’ll see!

Its a go for this week end May 4. We walked in yesterday (4/28/13) Could have drove. Stil mushy at the camp. The weather looks GOOD. No snow on the north side of Irondatwat.

I have my doubts about the Toucher. He’s got the love bug bad. Last year it was a deck, but he still managed to slither down to Albany for a pipe cleaning. I wonder how many week ends he’ll miss this huntin season.I’ll call him anyway.

Rumor has it that the Polecat was most likely discharged from the hospital today, the staff couldn’t take it anymore!

And just when we thought we could finally keep up with him in the woods……..

From the roaming field reporter Digger, rumor has it that the Ftrooper known as Slost, who is Smissing – has been sighted at a local swill-eatery location.

Will he return to hunt this year? Where has he been? Is the roof finally done? Is there a new project in the works?

These and more questions from our inquiring minds are to be answered soon hopefully.

Until then, hunting is still on this year……starting in October…Slost!

***Update***
I spotted the elusive “Not in good standing” F-Trooper at Ruby Tuesday’s in Crossgates Mall this past weekend. According to Stosh the barn roof is complete. Finally! Now the house roof was in need of repair. Of course Stosh spent all spring and summer planning the massive project and started it in the fall. Coincidence? I think not.
Stosh was accompanied by his significant other who informed me that she has regularly encouraged Stosh to go to hunting camp,but HE chose to stay home and deny her a peaceful weekend. He has assured me that he does in fact know when hunting season is and he will be joining the men this coming fall! Only time will tell!
